After 5 years of detecting, I just got my first Standing Liberty Quarter today. There's no date, but you can see the "S" mint mark.

Good to see you out and making some finds. Hopefully the Standing Liberty Quarters will start surfacing more for you since it's always the 1st one that is the toughest to find. There could be more where that one came from. Wish you the Best of Luck on your next hunt. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

I love those cowboy quarters. I have never found one worth much. Most of them have no date. I have one super 1918 S but it was in a fire and the top of it is burnt and bubbly.

Hey, great find! It may be worn, but it's still a beautiful coin. I've always loved the older coins the best. Believe it, or not, my first Standing Liberty quarter was dated 1929 and found in Vicenza, Italy, somewhere between our Army post's football field and the helicopter pad. So, I know the feeling you had when you first realized what you had found! Hope you find more, real soon!
