Classic 5 ID coils on the Prizm 6T?

Utah Neal

Does anyone know if the coils for the Classic detectors sold by KellyCo will work on the 6T? Both machines operate at the 8KHz range and it would seem likely that it would work. Maybe the connector is the problem. Any info will help.

I would think the first thing to consider would be the pins in the connector. For as much as I paid for my 6T, I wouldn't think of even trying it. I don't know

not being a electronic tech but, I'd be afraid of feed-back, or just bad mo-jo. Plus, if it screws up your machine, it could screw up the warranty. I'd love

to know if it works, as Whites seem to be slow about putting out accessories for their detectors. I have heard rumors of smaller coils coming.

I did put an 8" prizm coil on my 6T. As far as the balance goes--WOW!! It has the feel of a prizm 5. Which if you have ever used a prizm 5, you'll

know they are no heavier than a stick. Good luck w/ the Whites roulette game you're thinking of. Let us know how it goes
