***Cleaned up Enfield Bayonet***

coinworld

Well-known member
After a week in the electrolysis bath the Enfield Bayonet cleaned up real purty...After careful examination it appears the tip is not broken off as I initially had thought; it appears the “user” used the bayonet as a possible digging/gardening tool as the tip although there appears to be blunted.
I need to soak it gemplers and then to clear coat. This target came up in solid 40s on my XP Deus using Deus Fast 28KHZ. I almost did not dig the target as no more than 4 minutes earlier and about 5 feet away I dug a blasted rusty pipe. and I had the similar tone when I dug this.
Lesson learned you gotta dig that iron diggers!😎

Was the rusty “pipe” the barrel the bayonet was attached to?! :)

very cool bayonet

I checked it was not a barrel to a gun that was my first thought.

That part went over the end of the barrel and twist locked on the barrel
