Cleaning silver, how do you do it?

Hi all, recently I've been finding quite a bit of silver, often very thin chains. Can anyone help by letting me know the best way of cleaning them up. They're mostly out of black sand so are pretty dark, if not black themselves. Thanks for your time, Happy Hunting, Mark

The best results I have seen are out of a tumbler. I very often will use electrolysis to clean encrusted rings but a tumbler really does make em shiny again.

You should make a video of how you do it, Ron! I'd like to see the process and the finished product.

This works good for all my jewelry. Best on Rings.

Dig is right, I use electrolysis, then I use a vibrating type machine to polish them to a bright shine. Gene

Be sure to do any electrolysis outside, it is a stinky process, and the fumes are not good for you. One site on the web said they were flamable. so be careful. Gene

Dont drink the water....(this tip is good for when electrolysizing or even when in the ocean...multipurpose)
