I'm interested in a clean sweep coil for my Vaquero. Curious to hear how it performs on the V.
How would it work in a farm field where an old house used to stand with lots of targets in the ground?
What kind of depth could I expect out of the clean sweep? I need a coil that will cover large areas fast
to find a class ring that was lost about 6 months ago in a 5 acre grass field. Thanks.....
Great coil for that kind of task. It is about 2 to 3 inches less deep than the standard coil in air tests I've done with a clean sweep on the Cibola and Tejon. I have an older, heavier one. It balances better on the Tejon than on the Cibola. Makes the Cibola very nose heavy. The newer light weight clean sweep probably won't be as nose heavy. Not sure what other differences there may be, may want to ask a dealer or the factory on what the differences between the original and light weight versions are. It looks like both are listed as available on the Tesoro web page.
Try to get a reading from whoever lost it on the most likely part of the 5 acre area that it was lost. Work that part first. Mark where you go. work it carefully and methodically. I use markers to lay out a grid when I'm doing that kind of search and I make sure I overlap the sweeps.
Good Luck!
