Close Call - Brian's Battle Update

[size=medium]A close call.

"DAD...DAD...DAAAAD...."

I rushed into his room this morning to see Brian holding his stomach with both hands.

The tube had been pulled partially out of his stomach and was laying to the side. I couldn't see it because his hands covered it, but I told him to try and push it back in and he was able to. Fortunately the balloon prevented it from coming completely out.

Once he calmed down a little he let me look at it and all appeared normal except for some leakage we had to clean up. Our nurse had called to ask a question about another issue so I explained what happened and she told me he should be just fine but to keep a close eye on it for swelling or infection.

Whew...with that adrenaline rush I didn't need any coffee to get me going this morning.

And that's the way we started our day.
