We got about 5" of the heavy wet white stuff last night. So I was up at 4am and out the door by 4:30 to go plowing. The roads were horrible as the slush likes to try to pull you off the road. It was a slow go from job to job. After my first one I was driving down a back road in the dark at about 5 am. All of a sudden I seen a wall of white as I hit the brakes hard and came to rest with my plow just against the limbs of a huge tree across the whole road! You see when we get the wet stuff, it is very heavy and knocks many trees down. I found 4 spots this morning where the trees covered the whole road, and dozens of spots where they were half way across. I thanked the Lord for keeping me safe, and for sending me some work. I seen cars in the ditch, gave a lady a ride home from her stuck car, seen power lines sparking in the dark with trees laying on them, and in many places the limbs were so low they just scraped the top of the truck as I drove down the road. WOW! Only in Michigan! It will all be gone by Wednesday. Back to diggin!
