Club hunt.

We had our club hunt today at the old camp on the island and once again we had a good day. I haven't got the total coin count yet, but there were some barbers, a franklin half that I know of, mercs, rosies, a nice 1912 Canadian dime, V nickles, buffalo's, Indians, several silver rings and the find of the day and probably the find of the year for our club was this beautiful seated dime bracelet found by Jack. There are nine seated dimes and the oldest was an 1856. On the reverse side of the coins are names and initials that were engraved on them which I'm not quite sure what the significance might mean. Sorry the picture isn't that clear, but I hope you all will see what a nice find this was...:) I have yet to find a seated coin and Jack gets nine at one time........:) I will post other pictures later from the hunt. HH.

Very nice post Eddie and well put together. I checked the book on the '12 dime and it hit at $55 so not a bad day for all of us really. Had a great time and a wonderful put together hunt by the club. And we need more weather like today it was as gorgeous as the bracelet.

That is just AWESOME!!! That has to be one of the best pieces of jewelery that I have seen that was made up with coins. Sounds like everyone had fun and a great time too. Looking forward to some pics later on Eddie and congrats on the finds from everyone in the club hunt.

Congrats to Jack and it sounds like you all had a good hunt. Did Chuck go? Had to babysit the grandaughter all weekend but I'm off in the morning for a little ghost town hunting.

It was a very nice hunt and the weather couldn't have been better. Chuck is in the hospital last night according to Ron. Guess he was having chest pains and breaking out in a sweat and Donna finally convinced him to go to the hospital. They are running some tests, but haven't heard the results yet. Good luck on your ghost town hunting..:)

Thanks James. That bracelet is really something to see and to have dug it up must have been unbelievable. Wish it would have been me, but I will be happy just to find any kind of seated coin. Maybe one of these days.............:) HH.

Thanks jb. At least your find paid for your gas, but the bottom line is we all had a good time, good weather, a fun group to be with and that is payment enough in itself. Has Jack come down yet after his wonderful bracelet that he found? Lee got a nice 1911S barber dime just before we left. No silver for me today, but two V nickles in one day is a record for me..............:)
