Found this thing today at my CW site. Someone mentioned it may have something to do with property surveying. I haven’t been able to find one like it online to identify it so I really don’t know. There isn’t any writing on it that I can see. Any ideas? Thanks for looking.

Nice ID Steve ,,, but tell me this ,, and I hope this isn't a stupid question ,, but ,, What does a candle holder need a grease fitting for ?? As the one pictured on the left .
So the little stubs don't seize in? ;) ...a different view of the adjustment knob...
