CM6000 Di SL modifications?

I understand there is a modification for the audio output of the 6000 Di or XL Pro to give target ID tones. Can anyone give me more information regarding this mod? Are plans available for a DIY mod?
Thanks!

The audio circuit and the meter circuit are independent and isolated. The kit runs off of the meter circuit. There were only a few in existence and no DIY kits are available.

You have to ship your detector to Poland, where the engineer who does it will put it in.

Here is his website. Occasionally he will sell one on eBay with the mod already in it.

Everyone who has gotten one swears buy it, the is honest and legitimate from what I have heard/read. It's the shipping and thought of loss that is spooky to me.

What really TICKS me off is the White's does not offer this modification.:ranting:

Here is his website. (with translation)

Here is a video of the actual mod being performed, and the results of it. Mixed mode is also added.

Great video, thanks for posting, I wonder what the approx cost would be? Love my 6000 Pro XL, I'm with you kind of scary to ship.

Thanks for all that information. It's the first clear, concise explanation I've seen to date.
I'm with you, it's a very scary proposition, and while tone ID and mixed mode would be great, I'm reasonably happy with my 6000 the way it is.
When (if) the modification becomes more widely available or more easily obtainable, I'll be all over it, for sure!

Ask to megadivers, tinfoil or hombre, they bought with my help 3 kits from Mrand, the polish producer.
Here in Italy we have 14 XL PRO with that mod.
