Coil adapter

Has anyone installed the coil adapter on the 11" coil so as to shift the center point?

I always liked the balance of the 9" coil much better than the 11".

The one I am talking of was made for the large 13" coil that shifts the lower shaft connection toward the center.

Do a search on this forum page for coil adapter.

A Guy called Mick aka swarfy, used to make them and I used one on the 13" coil.

When the 11" coil came out, I felt that I did not have a need for the adapter as XP had solved the centre of balance problem.

What I did do was fitted the 13" coil followed by the11" coil to a modified Whites MXT shaft and kept the XP shaft for the 9" coil.

That way I have 2 machines without changing the coils and have sometimes loaned one of them to another person. Jerry.

I used that setup when I had the 11X13 coil and loved it coming from the CZ line of detectors. Once the 11" round came out I sprung for the OEM upper shaft and it was a night/day difference...much better balance and it seemed easier to swing. Can't wait to see what's next!
