Coil charging clip replacement?

fyrffytr1

Well-known member
I know there are a few aftermarket charging clips for the Deus 1 coils so, what one do you recommend? or, is there a way to put a spring in the original one? My original clip lasted 8 years.

I put a metal coil spring on my clip in place of the broken plastic spring and it worked well for a couple years until one wing broke away from the charging body. I no longer have it else I would post a photo.
You can probably use hot glue to hold the spring in place where the plastic spring used to be (I used homemade ABS glue). Mine was a light spring about 1/4 inch in diameter that I had laying around. Just enough pressure to mimic the original clips holding force on the coil.

I found two original clips for $20.00. If they last as long as my first one I will be happy.

Its a very poor designed clip! come on XP! I shaved down my coil cover where the clip goes over so I do not have to stress the clip too much.
