Coil choice help

I mostly open woods relic hunt and I am getting measured 16" civil war bullets is our good ground. I posted a video last early spring on YouTube that I filmed with my phone while digging. Today I hit a spot we pounded for 40 years with every vlf detector made, right in the bottom of a rifle pit I got another 16" and it was a shot spencer which is 54 caliber and shorter than the 58 caliber ones I dug before. Gary in the UK says 2 more inches with 11 over the 9" and amazingly the weight is the same, I am loving my Deus, you can't go wrong with either coil. I just bought a starter bundle with the 9" for iron laced camps and homesites so can give some feedback on that coil after this week
