Coil Choices

I am in the process of acquiring additional coils for my SE. I have the pro coil and have ordered the 6

Im researching as well for a new coil. I think it was jean that did that comparison... just google the field tests on the 10 X12 SEF and you can find it. I think the only big down side of buying the 10 X 15 may be on those tiny items that th 10 X 12 does very well on otherwise the beach guys likes the 10 X 15.

I found some good information on the E-Trac forum that gave me my answer in regards to the 12x15 SEF. It indicated that the detection depth on dime sized coins would be no deeper than my current Minelab Pro coil. So, I am going to save my money until the next I've got to have it comes along.

Hi all, Has anyone out there actually tried using the Excelerator 18 x 15 coil? And what do you think of it?
We are seriously thinking about buying one, but want actual user information, and results.
Thanks

speaking of coil choices I am thinking of purchasing another coil for my se pro. Since I am often frustrated with all of the signals I get with the stock coil I though purchasing a smaller 8 inch concentric coil might make things a little easier on me and help with the pinpointing in the process. I read in Charles's website that double d coils can detect coins anywhere under the coil making it more difficult to pinpoint. Any suggestions or should I just go with a smaller 6 inch dd ex coil? Roger over at kellyco has an 8 inch concentric with lowershaft for 179$ should I make the plunge?
