coil compatibility between Fisher detectors

dfmike

Well-known member
Correct me if I'm wrong please. The DD coils from my 7.8 Khz machines would be fully compatible with the 19 Khz Fisher detectors (Goldbug pro/F19/G2) but not with the 13 Khz detectors (F70/F75) right ? So if I was to purchase an F70, F75 or T2, none of my present DD coils would work on these machines ? Thanks.

Coils for the T2 are "Stand Alone" and do not interchange with any other model.

The F5, Omega, and the others that are referred to as "Greek Series" are supposed to be compatible. (it also my understanding that the Greek series not only share DD coils, but concentric's as well).

F70 and the F75's coils are compatible.

Mark

To clarify what Mark just said F70 & F75 coils are compatible WITH EACH OTHER not the Greeks et. al. but one can give it a try it may function. The F Coils For the Gold Bug sticky at the top of the Fisher Gold Bug/Teknetics G2 forum by Dave J. is the gold standard for advice here.

Thanks Pastor Tom.

I have an F2 and a F44 will coils interchange?

Theoretically no. Read Dave Johnson's post that I found here: The F44 and F5 can use same coils but the F2 has separate coils that are not compatible. It doesn't operate on the same frequency.
