Coil depth comparison between the 6"DD and 5x10"DD.

Hi all!

Did a garden test video on a nickel yesterday comparing the 6"DD and 5x10"DD both at 18.75kHz.
I placed the coin 7" inches down and both machines were setup properly for the ground.Non of them got a clear signal.Faint and broken with an iron sound.Checked the hole before and after, there was no iron underneath.

On five inches both machines picked it up.

Hope it can give some information on how deep thus coils are,all depending on soil of course.Just take this test for what it is,a amateur garden video....hope you not get sea sick;)

Great video, I will have to compare 6" dd to the 5x10 once I have saved enough $$
I will run a test in my back yard tomorrow with just my 6" dd

Yes, thanks for the video. Your test is the same thing I see in my test garden. A planted coin at deeper than 5" will register a good repeatable signal but not what the TID would read on a surface or very shallow target, and that is with any machine that tried it including Etracs and a XP Deus.
