coil for field hunting?

JoeH

New member
Right now I use the stock coil only for my MXT. However I do alot of field hunting and was wandering what would be my best bet for a deeper coil. Should I go larger for more ground cover? Any help would be appreciated. Live in Indiana. Soil conditions are not bad at all. Thanks.

I use the 10"DD for deeper hunting with the gain on max. With that combination you won't miss much.

so far the stock 950 eclipse coil works great in my soil and that includes farm fields

You'll get a bit more coverage and depth from the 12" concentric or the 10X14 DD, but at the expense of more weight to swing.
