coil mode for detector pro diver

Question---possible replacement coil.
Heard that a lower frequency detector is better in bad mineralized soil for relic hunting. The Diver is at around 2.5 khz lower than most that run 14-19khz.
I understand that the DIVER/WADERS share the same technology and are basicaly the same unit with the FISHER 1280x that also operates at 2.5khz. The difference being Detectorpro miniaturized the circuit board.
Would it be possible to swap Wader 8" searchcoil with the Fishers 10" coil???
