Coil question for Reg

Hi Reg,
I have been winding my coils on magnet type wire,a friend has a role
of beaded shielded wire,question, will a coil wounded with beaded wire
work.if it will work that's a easy way to make a coil and shield it at same
time.

Hi Frank,

I have never tried this type of wire, but my guess is no, it will not work or work well. The only way to know for sure is to try it. If you do try it, only tie the shield to ground at one end.

Thanks i spoke to soon my friend still has the wire.
If I remember right,years ago I had one of Eric first PI
White 1000 PI. IT had a 11'' coil wounded with shielded
braided wire inside coil.If i get the wire it will make a good
winter project.
