coil question

The current F2's have a locking ring type coil connector; the earliest ones had a push-on DIN connector. The BH searchcoils (except 7 inch, Gold, and Platinum) are electrically compatible with the F2 but are equipped with a push--on DIN connector, okay for early F2's but not later ones.
Coils available for the F2/4's with locking ring connectors are 4 inch and 8 inch round concentrics, and 11 inch elliptical DD.
