Coil Question

so save your money and just buy the coil. don't jump on the keeping up with the jones hype. jmo

HH

If the coil was off a metal detector off the AT line, it will work. If it's off another model, it will not. Garrett designed the AT series (At Gold + AT Pro) to share coils.

How do you guys feel about having a 4.5 sniper coil and the stock coil that comes on the At Gold? Do you think that the sniper coil is really needed on the AT Gold?

Ray

I would think the stock and the larger DD like on the Pro. I have the sniper for the AT think I have used it one time. Wish it was a DD. Think the one on the gold will separate as good or better than the sniper coil.

I have mixed feelings about the sniper coil. Like you, I used my 4.5" sniper once with lousy results. I was just looking at my AT coil and I noticed that the coil that Garrett returned mine with from the upgrade was not the coil that I sent to them. I had marked my old coil with my initials so I guess that I must have had one of the early problem coils.

Ray

I think it standard routine to swap the coils out. Take it off put another on. Check the one they took off and make any corrections. Put it on a future one.
