coil question

New member
Just bought a new X 705 with stock coil. Would a 9" 3 khz give better performance, DEPTH, or would I just be digging more rusty bottle caps, washers, and cans ??? Thanks for your comments. Ron B.

If your ground allows the concentric coil to work well, the LF would hit better on silver coins due to the frequency.

Lower frequencies also penetrate ground better, and the LF coil will ID coins better due to the bin widths. You'll actually dig fewer rusty bottlecaps.

If your thinking of buying a second coil...you might want to take a serious look at the 10.5" 7.5 khz DD coil. This is my "go to" coil for depth & performance in trashy areas...especially if I'm going to cherry pick.
