Coiltek 12x8 coil.

Anybody used this coil on their explorer.I will be using it on the beach mainly.I used this particular coil on my quattro a long while ago and it was great, just wondering how they perform on the exp.
Cheers guys.

Well i bought one..........and i wish i had'nt.The coil, with lead weighs over 780 grams which is heavier than some of the latest large coils on the market. It performs ok,good depth, sensitive to small items, good pinpointing and good in the trash. However it is not as deep as the slimline coil i have and i think the slimline is a better coil overall.
The advert for this coil says that it is a suitable replacement for the standard coil being lightweight, more sensitivity and better in the trash. The problem is,this advert is the original advert from when the 12x8 first hit the market.Times have changed coiltek.
