THE NEW LOOK

On July 1st 2007 Coiltek took on a new owner who intends to continue to bring outstanding products and service to the industry with his knowledge and passion to succeed. As you can see by our new logo we are excited and looking forward to providing the industry with new products and services.

Trevor Ferraresso has been in the industry for 10 years and has learned through working for Minelab and Coiltek with John Kah and John Gladdis as his mentors. Now having the opportunity to apply his ability, he intends to ensure a prosperous future for the industry, company and particularly providing personal assistance to the prospector.

Now called Coiltek Manufacturing, new products are released and being developed with an intensive research and development schedule and a strategic plan which will see new products and opportunities for years to come.

With the Australian market continuing to grow in the hobby and professional prospecting fields and a continued growth in the Mining industries there will be vast opportunities for Coiltek Manufacturing to grow. There are also excellent opportunities within the overseas markets as more and more European countries are experiencing relaxed laws and regulations regarding metal detecting which in turn provides extended markets and increased sales.

Hi Rick,
Sorry mate but I am not sure what you mean. We do not make detectors, just coils and accessories for the Minelab units.

We will have new coils out in 2008 for the Sov and Explorers and will inform you with pics and text when available.

Thanks
Trevor

While you're at it, make a couple concentrics, especially large ones, for the Explorer line, would be well received.

Loose the medical tape keeping the covers on the coils and replace with coil covers that actually fit the coils. Heat shrink wrap your 5 pins on your Explorer coils so the little screws don't fall out of the 5 pin bracket, like they have on both my WOT's and 8 inch Excellerator concentric coil. I've since wrapped the 5 pin connectors with electrical tape to prevent this from happening to my other Coiltek and Excellerator coils. I don't have to do this to my Sun Ray or Mine Lab coils as it's already done. Not slamming your products, just giving you some improvement ideas from my usage standpoint.

Hey there all,

We appreciate your comments for sure.

The main reason for the cloth tape is to minimise the amount of red dust getting into the coils here in Australia. Not as big of concern for the coin coils. When we started to add this tape we thought to keep it consistent we would add it to all coils besides the WOT. Most of our skids fit quite well however we are improving all of our fits over the coming months which should eventually eliminate these concerns.

The little screws are always a concerning area and we place loctite in the thread to lock the screw in but they can work loose. We will look at the heat-shrink option however we need to ensure the finish looks professional. Again we will take this suggestion on board.

There are progressive small changes which we are implementing to our products from feedback like yours which we hope will improve the whole products functionality.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
regards
Trevor

What about a 20"x10"DD coil for the beach, Don't need the depth as much as the coverage as I don't own a back hoe LOL

I sent Coiltek (aka Trevor) a PM about a week ago when he posted about some changes at Coiltek and some New Products coming out in 2008. I asked Trevor if it would be possible to get some Decals for my Joey Coil, the Decal that goes on the top of the Coil in the Front, which is the Pinpointing area of the Coil. I sent him my Address and today I recieved a letter in the mail with the Decals that I requested. He told me No Problem. He not only sent me that Decal but a few others as well. Talk about Customer Service!!! Now that's the way it should be done! Thanks So Much Trevor for the Decals I requested and I will be looking for them New Products in 2008. Long Live Coiltek! Good Luck and HH to you all! :detecting:

I own several Coiltek coils. They perform excellent and are durable and I have never had any problems with them. You need to remember, Coiltek is trying to improve coils and come up with a superior product that improves origional manufacturers performance. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Personally, I welcome anyone trying to improve my machine and MD finds? In my humble opinion, they make excellent specialty coils. If I were to make a suggestion on their coils, I would ask Coiltek to round off all their edges like the standard coils, to prevent all the bumping with stiff ground stuff... Competition is what improves quality, and Coiltek is a leader in that field. Let's support Coiltek and politely suggest improvements to our benefit. I do believe they are working for US and what we want...

Dennis

Thanks for the kind word guys... It just re-enforces the fact that our mission is continuing. To service the prospector (customer) first.

New developments and products are in the pipeline, I would just love to be able to get out and swing more:veryangry: Just seeing all the good stuff you all get makes me green with envy!

As for the decals... not a problem at all... I was hoping they would turn up soon.:clapping:

Enjoy your days
Regards
Trevor @ Coiltek Manufacturing.
