Got this bad boy today, gonna snow tonight........can't wait to get out and swing it, seems light thou. Yea, I prefer the old Explorer lower rods, same weight as the new carbon rods, just sand them down until they slide in. They have WAY less play in them!!!

morelic,

I use the same coil in big fields and am amazed at how sensitive that bad boy is. No problems with seperation, as long as you keep a slow and steady swing. You might want to consider the Swingy Thingy, it saves my tired old shoulder.

We were hoping to get out today but the wind picked up a bit and the temp plummeted. Looks like we might be frozen out for the next week.

Tom, I have the "Swingy Thingy". I cut down on some weight when I sold my X1 probe, only had it out with it 3 times, course, I hunt for 4-5 hours at a time. I had to switch over to my Xterra 705 a couple of times to give it a rest.

I kinda averaged the comments on all of the data I could read on both the WOT & SEF. The WOT is way lighter than even the 12x10 SEF and people say the WOT is still sensitive to small targets also. As soon as the snow melts here, I'm gonna take it to the field that I pulled alot of stuff out with the 705..........

I sure notice a big weight difference between the WOT and the Pro coils. But then again, check out the difference in coverage.
