hi all was maybe looking to buy another detector what are yor thoghts on a coinstrike ..fairly easy to use good depth. and id ?????i use a explorerxs and have a quattro also..thanks don

well, it has a Factory Preset on it, but I think to really understand the C$ you need a good 40-50 hours on it as far as a learning curve. Its a different animal from most machines. I would probably compare it to a DFX as far as learning curve goes. I think thats why most who buy a C$ don't keep it more then 10 hours or so because they decide early on that they don't want to spend 40-50 hours learning a machine that they may wind up hating or not liking very much.
But as far as depth goes, I can hit a quarter at around 11-12" here in Florida with no problem. Also ID is excellent. Now if simple is your goal with equal depth of the C$, you may want to consider a CZ7a or CZ70, both the same machine basically.
I would say, it depends on what type of hunting you do, but both are very good all around machines for coin or relic.
Good luck,
Mike

It IS NOT a turn on and go machine by any means, but once you get the hang of it, the C$ will be hard to beat.

Don,
I've hunted for the past 4 years with the Explorer as my main machine. I've used the MXT(I liked it a lot but traded for a water machine)a CZ3D, Just didn't like it, no particular reason. I still have a Sovereign Elite and a CZ70-Pro but the machine I'm going to use as my number 2 machine is the C$. If you like the XS and didn't mind the learning curve, the C$ will fit nicely into the arsenal of machines. Deep, accurate with good discrimination and enough adjustability to fit in almost all areas, with the exception of high RF.
Good Luck
Dirtdog
