Coins in peroxide ?

n/t

put the potato with the buffalo in the center in boiling peroxide..that might just clean it up fine:super::smoke::rofl:

Or maybe a Yam would work better?

I think it's called nickadate er sumpthin.
I've never seen it's resutls tho.
I recall that ketchup is supposed to be good on nickles but use care
coz it's high in acid.

If I bake a potato it'd never make it past the butter and sour cream  I'm sure it would have to be a raw potato. Not sure what it will do on the nickel, pennies is all I've ever cleaned this way. Let us know if it helps with the nickle.

I've taken really "crusty" coins, placed them on a piece of wax paper, and covered them with Elmers (white) Glue. After the glue dries, put them in the freezer overnight then peel the glue off the coin.

I would experiment on coins that hold no value, and wouldn't clean those that did. I've gone as far as a brass wheel in a Dremel Tool, but that was only on coins that were in very poor condition.

Good morning. I have used it on IH's and wheeaties with good results. I speed it up by placing the coin in a coffee cup with a good 2-3" of peroxide over it and placing it in the oven to heat up. I tried it in the microwave once and forgot metal no good in microwave.

Here's final pics of the nickel after three doses of potato treatment...

And this is the end of the "Tail" :smoke:

The hot peroxide does tear into th crud tho.
