I did luck out and got this 14 K stamped gold ring with the amythest stone in it. These things sure make one's day. I also dug 23 nickels - I believe that's why I get so much jewelry as they go hand in hand. My fourth gold item this year. At the school where I dug it I only found 3 nickels and 2 pennies in the chip bark area - but they missed the ring, fortunately for me. steve in so az

I'm leaving for the beach or a park at first light. Mild out there right now... 32 with light flurries and going up to a sweltering 40 this afternoon I admit it... I'm officially sick of winter and look forward to the change of seasons. Springtime is my favorite time of year!
Nice finds! That a pretty little ring... Guess the other guys got tired of diggin' foil and nickels???

I have kept records of my finds over the years, probably the only time in my life I have been organized I am up to 86 gold rings in 25 years. I dont keep track of the gold items that are other than rings and there have been a bunch also. Almost all of these have come from parks & school play areas. steve

Oh yeah ! Always lots of foil.I have dug 1500 nickels in the last 2 years. It is surely a sign that people are slacking off, Steve
