First and foremost. I found a lot today but try as I might I couldn't hit 143 coins which is what you need to average for 7 days straight to find 1000 coins in one week. Contrary to what I posted earlier I will not be attempting this goal. I had 554 coins in 4 days once FYI. If I find the right spot I might try out the 1000 in 7 sometime in the Spring or Fall. Not Summer.

Today's finds were still OK. Here are all the coins and junk I didn't toss out. Junk locket, 2 wheats, buttons, rabies tag, key, watch, soccer stuff and on and on......... 112 coins. $11.30.

Here is where I want you to reply with a photo. On the left is my first quarter of the day. About 6 feet away I found the one on the right. It is the most mangled coin I have found to date. Please post your worst ever mangled coin find. Not a contest. Just fun.

Now for the best, sort of. I found enough rings to give my favorite Garrett girl three rings. The one with the pink stone sure looked like gold for a while. The six prongs gave me hope. The little gold plated ring might have a small diamond in it. The bottom ring is a mood ring, marked size 6. I have not found too many Roscos lately and today I got 3 in one day all within about 100 feet of each other. It was the only area where I was hunting that was in the shade. I used it as a cool down area throughout the day. The rings were all in the same area but were found about an hour apart each. There was a man there with his grand-daughter and we got to chatting. Turns out he was from Denver and he got out of town for a week to avoid the convention. He was a bit of a wise ass and told me my detector was mocking me (treasure talk) and I replied with my own smart-ass comment right back. We got along fine.

Chris

If my Garrett girl doesn't stop eating Oreos in bed I am going to have to look for another, real soon.

I found a quarter just like yours. It had been run over by a bull dozer at a construction site. You said they were about 6 feet apart, that sounds about right for a track vehicle. Gary

I was thinking lawn mower but your hypothesis is reasonable. I had a different quarter with a slit cut in it that I put in my brag book and it was so sharp it poked though the poly and cut a few people including me. I took it out. This one has one really sharp point too.

Chris

Awhitster would just spend it! Maybe I should send it out to him.
