Coinstrike settings

Hi Everybody. I got a coinstrike a little while back, and I'm finally taking it out again up to the family farm this weekend. I had a question about the Sensitivity and Threshold setting on this machine. I have to admit that I never really understood how to properly work with these settings on the machine, (or for that matter, even understand what they "mean"). I was hoping some of you out there could explain first of all what they actually mean, and then how to work with them properly. I always used the factory preset mode, and when I would detect I would get alot of bouncing around of number i.d.'s and so forth. I'm sure this has to do with adjusting the sensitivity and threshold settings but if I don't understand what they mean and how to use them properly in the first place, I won't be able to understand how to adjust them when I should. Thank-you. Sincerely, Randy

Sensitivity is basically the depth you want to go, Threshold is how the machine receives and holds the objects number(the lower the thresh is, the more accurate the number is going to be via the object being detected....also the object is received differently depending on size and depth of the buried object).
It is also very necessary to properly ground balance(make sure when doing this that there is nothing metal within a 3-foot radius of the search coil)! :)
