Have a cz5 and getting a coinstrike. Do only land hunting for coins, no relic huniting.. Will the coinstrike do any better than the cz 5. Any input would be appreciated...thanks,Sonny Going to keep the cz5.....

C$ and CZ5 is a great team. You're set for about any situation with those two machines. Be prepared for a long learning curve with the C$, for me about the fourth set of batteries and things started to click. I use my C$ for some of my older sites where I can work slow ( I don't mean a slow sweep speed ) and investigate every positive signal. I've pulled several coins out of iron trash. Also when I can run the sens high I believe it ID's slightly better than my CZ70. I think you have the perfect Fisher combination for coin hunting just give the C$ some time you're sure to love it.

I think he's right on....once learned, you should be able to "unma$k" some coins hidden in trashy sites the CZ-5 may have missed. Both great units & your gonna have an awsome 1-2 punch. I keep a CZ-7a handy myself...Bill

my wife will, more time then not find more then I will in the same amount of time with the CZ5 and I with the C$ or the CZ70. I think its because I often switch off from one to the other and she consistantly uses the CZ5, I hope thats the case, she keeps saying its because she's better then me. Sonny,
Throw out every preconceived thought about the CoinStrike is the first advice I would give you. The CoinStrike is a different beast compared to your CZ-5. Most people can expect to put in 40 hours before they start understanding the Coin$trike well. Which is deeper seems to vary from area to area. My CZ-3D is deeper that my CoinStrike was. I've heard it the other way around too. Be patient. Good Luck!
-Bill
