Colonial? Medieval? Diamonds? Pendant found and need help

Scenario84

New member
Today I went to a baseball field at a school that old maps from 1894 showed had houses on it. As soon as I got to the spot where the houses were I found the Minnie-ball. Then I pulled the ox knob. Those who hunt in the northeast US know what that is. Then, I pulled this pendant/medallion....thing. I have no idea what it is. But it has three remaining stones left in it that look like diamonds. I'm not a jeweler. I don't presume to say they ARE diamonds. But they def didn't have plastic in the pre 1900s. The weird thing is, after watching a lot of videos from Europe and posts from UK detectorists, it looks oddly midieval to me. I'm sure it's probably not, (I am in upstate New York). But it's so unusual and I've never found anything like it. It is OLD. I can tell from the wear of the metal- possible pewter- but I need help. If anyone has any thoughts or insight please let me know! I've found a ton of colonial stuff over the years but this find has left me scratching my head. Thanks and HH!
