Coming Back to the Hobby

Hello All,

I have missed this hobby more than I thought I would. I sold off my Coinstrike (before that had a Tesoro DeLeon) because of a serious family illness (no time to hunt) I am strictly a coin shooter.

I am interested in the following models in my price range:

F2 with 3 coils
F4
XTerra 305
ID Excel on closeout

What are the advantages/disadvantages of these? Should I add any others? Please feel free to be biased:)

Will,I think you will grow out of these models. My suggestion try to buy an upper end used detector at a good price.I have seen good deals on Sovereign's and older Explorer's at great prices.A good clean non abused upper end metal detector will usually get your money back on a resale if it doesn't work out.If you want to stay in the Fisher line up the F70s are going for cheap prices another detector going for good prices the Tesoro Tejon.Good Luck with your quest some poor souls are still looking for that special detector.HH Ron
