Compadre 5.75 or 8 inch coil

...I would favor a Tesoro with manual ground balance, that way you could mount the proper coil for the conditions.....JMHO
For instance, you would not want to hunt a beach with the small 5.75 coil but that size coil would be ideal in a tot lot around all the metal playground equipment.
The 12X10" DD coil would be ideal in covering more ground at the beach, but it would not be ideal in the tot lots. The best size for a compromise would be the 8" coil.

If i got another compadre i would get the 6" coil 5.75that is - tab says its still able to get good depth I would use it in high trash and close to metal

Of the 2 I prefer the 5.75". It s the perfect coil for this machine.
