Compadre Mod?

Rebel1

Ok, i see where people are doing a mod to their Compadre so they can switch coils. So how does it work with the other coils? Anybody use one with the Clean Sweep? How about the standard coil for the Cibola or Vaquero? Is it actually a worthwhile mod? And if so, who does it and how much does it cost to have done? Or is it more cost effective to just take the money and put it towards a Vaquero?

I have a Vaq but I am about to get a very nice compadre from Skiwhiz.
7" coil, too.

I am going to leave the Compadre alone and it is going to be my "specialty" unit for tot lots and other areas, if I want to switch coils, and I do have and love a 1012 DD, I will do that on the Vaq and not mess up the warranty on the Compadre.

i was wondering the same as you Rebel1.... does the compadre perform better or worse when you change the coil? i was planning on getting a clean sweap coil to use with it

Me to if it works right with it and doesn't cost as much or more than buying a Cibola or Vaquero.
