compadre or deleon on salt water beach

i know they are not made for salt water but can i use one there. dont have time to get a new machine before vaction
 
Your best bet is the Deleon because you can control the sensitivity. The Compadre does not work on my wet salt sand.
 
Pulltab, in the dry sand I think I would try hunting in all-metal mode for max depth and then check your targets in disc. Hope you find a 14k ring or two.

You should get good depth on the dry sand with the DeLeon, even if the sand is damp down deeper than on the surface.
 
IF needed near the wet, salt sand drop the sensitivity as mentioned above and you might find that more discrimination may help as well.
