Comparison-F75 ltd/dst, Xterra705, Racer2

Used the coils I have, so not entirely fair. I was a little shocked at the results myself. As always, take from it what you will and leave the rest. Hope you enjoy.

On that F75 turn the gain up higher into the 90's if possible, (higher gain on this platform gives you better resolution in iron, surprisingly), thresh lower as needed to stabilize, monotone only, not 2F or anything else, 0 or 1 disc and move the coil way slower.
Watch for a quick repeating range of high numbers as the center of the coil moves over the coin.
As you could see the sniper would be the coil to use in this situation but I have used the big Fisher DD coil in iron infested sites with these settings and have been surprisingly successful, also.
Curious on what you might find with these changes especially with that larger coil...might be surprising again.

Thanks for the tip Revier. I did also try the 7x11 DD coil on these coin sinarios, and was surprised to find that it did almost better than the 5x10 nel. Also the Xterra705 & 10.5 DD had similar results. I wanted to include the results, but I ran out of time to make another video. The larger coils were the first ones I tried, so I wasn't maybe paying as much attention either, but I think at min., they were as good as the 5x10's. I will do a follow up video when I get time.

I also tried knocking out iron both ways, Zero disc. in 2 tone & 1n on F75 and 2 tone AM & 1 tone w/disc on 705.

I may have misjudged between the 5x10 and 7x11-but I think still pretty close. (you can be the judge)

I am now going to have to try the F75 & 5x10 in 1n.

Oops! Sorry, I meant tried to knock out iron in 2 ways on the Xterra.
Zero disc. &1n on f75 and 2 tone AM & 1 tone w/disc on 705.

Amazing differences-

Pretty cool on how slight setting changes can affect results.
I don't have 1n, FA, DST or any of those flagship settings available to me, but I have mentioned that monotone, 1 setting, seems to do the job at my sites more than well with all coils at the right slow coil speed.
In disc the lower tone choices appear to be least affected and most stable when it comes to EMI and chatter compared to the higher ones, especially with a high gain setting, for me the monotone setting is still the best, quietest, most stable and responsive out of all that I have tried that found me the most in heavy iron.
Then there is my all metal blast through almost maxed out settings which also work shockingly well.
