Computer Crash

New member
I had an issue with my old PC and I lost quite a bit of stuff. Anybody who I am in regular email contact with will need to send me an email as I lost my address book. Or just PM.

That's happened to me before, too. The solution is once you get your address book redone, export it to a file on a floppy or burn to cd. That way, after the next crash, just import it back into your email program. I learned that the hard way.

P.S. It wouldn't hurt to do a search on your hard drive, if you still can, for " *.wab " That's the name of your address file. If it's there, copy it to a floppy or flash drive and put it back on when your hard drive is redone.

I had the same problem almost. My AOL went out and after I called them and got it restored I lost all my favorites that it took years to compile. I'm really pizzed.

I am pretty good about backing things up but I never did my address book for some reason. The computer that crashed is beyond help. I get the dreaded blue screen immediately upon turning it on. Tried booting from various cds/various operating systems with no joy. I went an got a cheapie laptop at Walmart and it's pretty nice for the money.
