concentric coils:ausflag:

In my low mineralized soil, it works great. It gets great depth, is easy to pinpoint with and ID's bottles caps usually as junk. However, if my soil was more mineralized the DD would get better depth.

I have very little use for the 6.5x9, as I see no real advantage over the 5x8 after using both...The 5x8 is also more accurate on pinpointing...Now the big 9x12 is a deep coin killing monster...It is also a little tougher to Pinpoint with, but once you find that spot where the audio drops off, it is usually dead on on target up to 6-8 inches deep...it gets iffy on deeper targets...This is just my oppinion of course, and others may have better experiences with the smaller elliptical than I have had.
