Confederate Louisiana Pelican Feeding cuff button

Found this cuff button late yesterday evening at one of my favorite permissions. Looks like a Confederate Louisiana Pelican Feeding cuff button!

Was using my Makro Kruzer (14kHz) with the 7" concentric coil.. Button was only about 3" deep and read a "31-33" among a lot of scattered iron.

I live in South Texas and Civil War items are hard to come by. However a nice Civil War era "Script A" button was also found near where this button was dug.

The Kruzer has made me two nice finds and I've only used it a few times since I got it in July. The first was the nice 1908 Barber half I found last month. Both items were found with the 7" concentric coil. This one made my day. :surprised:
