OK i want you to think carefully and confess what is your worst area of expertise with you etrac this should be interesting WHOOOOPS

OK I WILL START i am absolutely pants at pinpointing and dont think i havent tried but sometimes i dig the biggest hole and end up with something the size of my fingernail it would be great if i could do what they do on the videos hunt dig and there is your goody how easy would that be so tomorrow i am going to go out and do less hunting and concentrate on trying to improve my pinpointing feel better now i have shared it with you guys any tips will be appreciated

Have u watched my video on how to pinpoint with the etrac, pinpointing with the etrac is simple, it is accurate as a laser

Mine is being careless with my digging tools as I put a dent in the screen plastic after only 2 weeks of having it.and kneeling on my headphone cable as I broke several cables at the plug ends in the past month, and luckily my son was able to make the fix, but not the screen. Also I have gotten into the bad habit already of not digging the shallow 12-36/37 zinc signals.

is it on you tube or here please and i can check it out accurate as a laser thats a statement haha lets see if i can use it like one then lol

My biggest frustration starting out with the etrac was pinpointing. I've become a lot better at it after much practice, although it still frustrates me at times.
Sometimes I will pinpoint a coin from several angles, dig the hole and nothing is there. Dig the hole deeper, still nothing, pinpoint will still be dead-on in the hole. The target sometimes turns out to be a deep piece of trash.

The real frustration is, occasionally the target will be several inches off to the side of where the pinpoint indicates. I've dug 12" holes, only to find the coin is 4 inches to the side of my hole, near the surface. And there will be no trash target left in the hole after finding the coin. I don't know what causes this, coin on edge or what, but it happens to me occasionally.

NO WAY WELL IF THAT WORKS ILL BUY YOU A BEER NEXT TIME I COME OVER THE BIG POND i am using the sef 11 x 15 coil do you think this method will still work?????????????????????????

My biggest frustration is the Target ID on the Etrac. Its probably the soil conditions here in So CaL ( I hope ). I will get a solid dollar signal and it turns out to be a quarter. Some smaller gold targets are not even close to what they are suppose to be. But, all and all..... I love my Etrac and wouldnt give it up

yep, sure do, it has worked on every DD coil I have used

Yep Terry is 100%
It works on all machines on all DD coils.
Quick and easy:thumbup:

OK I confess, I have the thing mastered:rofl:

No seriously, until a few weeks ago, I thought I knew where IH cents came in until Ray-Mo taught me otherwise. Since then, I have dug 10 of them in my last 10 hours or so hunting time. Last year I only found 17 and 7 of those were in 1 hole.

No matter how much I THINK I know, there is always more to learn or a correction to what I think I already know.

I think that is what makes this even more fun:bouncy:

you get to think you are mastering it but it is an ongoing process is the etrac cleverer than us or vice versa still working on pinpointing going to watch the video again and then tomorrow will go out and crack it

I confess - I couldn't find my own arse with both hands.

NOT MUCH CHANCE WITH THE ETRAC THEN IT NEEDS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF BRAIN POWER????????????????????????????????????????????

Shallow targets tend to confuse me until I raise the coil.

I'll also confess that I don't like that fact that many detectorists have NO sense of humor. This hobby gets too serious at times.
