:confused:HELP ME:concentric 7,5khz or double D 7,5khz coil

hello everyone, I live in Portugal and my soil ranges between 38 and 44
want to buy a coil but I'm torn between concentric 7.5 kHz (stock coil) and DD 7.5 kHz
help me choose the correct
I research mainly coins, such as Roman and other relics
thank you
miguel

I'd probably go with the 7.5kHz DD, but only because there isn't a 3hKz DD available yet.
Being that the DD is a 10.5", as opposed to the stock concentric which is only 9", you won't loose any depth, but will gain hugely in your ability to separate targets from trash.

JMHO, and worth what you paid for it.

Miguel, I have the 7,5 Concentric (Stock) Coil, the 10.5 DD 7.5 and the 10x5 DD 18.75 coils. I have found that the 10.5 DD 7.5 is the deepest of all the Xterra coils that I have had (also had the 10.5 18.75 DD) and I use it as my primary coil. When depth is not a concern or when in heavy trash I use the 10x5 DD. I can not comment on the 3 kHz coil as I have never tried one. I think that where you will be using it should also factor into your decision. The 10.5 DD coils are really good in open areas such as farm fields and beaches, the concentric is better suited to parks and schools. This is my opinion on what I have experienced in my area, others may differ in what results they have had depending on their hunting conditions and the type of soil they have.

I have both of the coils you mentioned and far and away like the 10.5" DD 7.5 khz. coil the best of the two. It is both deeper and covers more ground than the concentric coil. Although with your mild soil the DD coil may not gain you much additional depth, but it will still give you much better coverage because of both its size (10.5") and DD design ( I__I ).

I should go for the 7,5 DD,or 18,75khz 10,5 if you searching for romans. It scared me that the 7,5 DD couldnt see romans or hammeredcoins when there were iron next to it....in that case a 18,75 would be needed I guess.I comparered with a Rutus Jupiter with DD-coil 16 khz,on the same object, that detector had no problem to pick up the coin. Tested my Coiltek 15DD today with iron close to a silvercoins, very cracked signal,I have to dig those broken signal in the future cus you never now until you.....:)

Thank you all, I asked for your help because here in Portugal there is not much information on this subject
so I go for the DD 7.5 kHz coil
