I found this a few weeks ago but just hadn't posted it yet. I have been trying to find one like this using Google search but haven't found one exactly like it. Do any of you have any idea what era it's from. Found at an 1880 farmhouse.

Sorry only one picture...couldn't get the other two pictures to load. Will try to add them later. It's in pretty good shape. At first, I thought I had a weird nail because it was caked in dirt...almost tossed it into big trash bin and thought...it's kind of a cool nail I will save it and look at it later. OMG!! I have to be way more careful!!! Yikes. Love this piece.

HH to Y'all!!

I am not sure when they were made to be honest, I have found a few lead soldiers myself, and absolutely love them!

Looks just like the ones Mel Gibson was melting to make musket balls in "The Patriot", so it's gotta be from the mid-1700s. Ha, ha. I don't really know, but it's a cool find. Wish I had it.

i have a little lead baby i found years ago. about 1.5 inches tall. still to this day iv never found any info on it. i just know it came from a 1860s hotel site.
well if you find any place online with good info on small toys please share :)

It is metal, look nice and old! It look like American Revolutionary War soldier! My guess is that toy is late 1800's and children play revolutionary war.

Thanks for the input everyone ... it is cool and I will submit it at my next treasure club meeting for "miscellaneous" find of the month.
