Considering an XP Deus

I am about to buy a new XP Deus but I do have a concern. I am presently using Minelab X-Terra 705 and it is able to shift frequencies when near overhead power lines. This option will cancel the interference they may cause. I am able to search when my friends with White's can't. It appears the XP Deus has no why to cancel this type of interference and the Q & A just says to move to another area. What's up with that? I can't always do that. Anybody have any suggestions or comments?
Thanks for your help.

Jim

The Deus has 4 frequencies to choose from and I believe 2 "sub frequencies" in each one so in effect you have 12 frequencies to detect in. 4 , 8 ,12 and 18khz. If one of those isn't operable and modifying the sensitivity , ground balance , recovery speed , silencer or transmission power doesn't produce a usable detector then you may be in an area which is not detectable due to EMI , but I suspect you would have given up with all other detectors by then. I think you will find the Deus more site friendly than your X-Terra with only the one coil---unfortunately the limited coil sizes is it's biggest shortcoming.

The 705 with the 6" Digger coil and the Deus will make a great combo!

I was hunting with my Deus within 30 to 40 feet of some high voltage power lines recently with hardly any EMI feedback. My Whites DFX would squawk terribly if I got that close.

The DUES has 4 Freqs with two Freq shifts for each of the 4. I was hunting directly under power lines in the UK last month with no problem, my CTX was going crazy most of the time I tried to use it near the same lines, kept having to noise cancel to get it bearable.

Thanks everyone. You have answered my question. Looks like the Deus is a good choice.
