Considering GPAA, any pros or cons?

I just received my Garrett AT Gold detector yesterday and I'm considering joining GPAA. I'm living in northern Nevada and was just wondering if anybody had any experiences( really good or really bad) with GPAA in the Nevada, Idaho, Oregon areas. Any idea how many properties they have in these states? "Smitty"

I haven't received the latest guide yet, # of claims subject to change) My current guide shows 11 claims in Idaho.
5 Claims in Nevada. and approx 22 in Oregon

GPAA has many claims in many states. I was a member years ago (late 80s) and had good times and met many great people. In general the claims you will have access to are the same claims I had access to back then. Thousands of people have been to them with every type equipment. To join GPAA you will be with many "beginners" and newbies. My advice ~ join the State prospectors clubs, ie; such as Nevada Prospectors club, or say in Arizona - RoadRunner Prospector Club. They're easy to find if you goggle
