Ok the season is about over for me here in Ohio, winter is fastly approaching. So far this season I have dug 530 wheaties.........how many 1944 wheats did I find out of the 530 wheaties I dug? :wiggle:

One guess per person, and you must have posted in the CMD this season to make a guess.

Winner gets a prize. :clapping:

Hello, apache 18.....144 was my first guess, but not having my coin books handy to know how many 1944 Wheaties were minted and not knowing what mint mark he's talking about, I guess, any or all, and his contest might be a trick question! Hope each of those entering win, so Terry can send each of you a Wheatie! Just kidding...gotta be cheerful some way! God Bless! Ma Betty

Ma, if you look above, you guessed 44 not 144...........and I am including all mintmarks of 1944...........that is most produced wheat penny ever

1944 plain mintage is 1,435,400,000
1944D mintage is 430,578,000
1944s mintage is 282,760,000

so all combined over 2 billion 1944 pennies out there!

I know I guessed 44 for the 1944 Wheat pennies....My first guess was 144 but didn't post it, because some posted One and I thought maybe it was a trick question and you picked out the rare one or ones! I thought there were lots minted but I forget things and my book is a 1981 and not an 86....because that was the year silver got to $50.00 an ounce or more because of the Hunt Brothers!

Don't worry....I don't care to win and I didn't goof up on this contest, so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your contest and the Thanksgiving and Christmas season! Guess I don't explain myself very well! I like to enter but really don't care about winning, as I have coins and Stuff and don't care to have many more at my age! The Lord's blessings, healings and fiancial help to get out of debt is all I need or want for me and my loved ones!! Amen! Thank you & God Bless! Betty

I will leave this up till tomorrow.........got some good guesses here. Some real close! If you have not guessed yet, get a guess on here
