Thought I would show you what my friend found I put it on whatzit to find out what it is and used for. I like it and thought yall might too.

Very possible it is a watch fob or an old key ring. It says Brown Shoe Company at the bottom. My brother worked at Brown Shoe back in Illinois for years until they closed. I will try and get this picture to him and see if he can recall anything like it. Great find, none the less.

A person on whatzit said they found one just like it a year ago. He said at the time he found a picture of one and it had a small compass in the hole.
