Cool shotgun shell

WOW, I have never hear a relic hunter say that! It is good to find joy in the simple things. I will leave them for you on the Virginia battlefields when I hunt them (on private property with permission). :0)

Wouldn't be so cool on a battle field, but at a hotel in the middle of a resort strip! Makes you wonder how it got there?

The last year that the 12 ga "Repeater" shells were made was 1938 so it isn't really new. Most likely was dropped there before the facility was built. A neat find. Congratulations.

I think some of them are cool:cool: I've dug some here in SE Texas that crumble apart while digging out but then some come out legible if found in good ground conditions. By far my best ones came out of Arizona along with old rifle shell casings because of the dry desert climate. Cool find with it's history!

I have seen these shotgun shells on a display once, There was all different brands and the man had them all shined up and put into a shadow box. it looked really cool. if I find the link I will send it to you. maybe some members on here have seen it and can send it to you. it really looked Boss. I am presently hunting a site that used to be a Rod and Gun club and have been digging them up. I guess I can block them out, but I don't mind digging them out, Some times by digging them out or other thrash will open up good targets that have been masked by the thrash. When I hit a new site I dig everything to see whats up with the site. When I find a Wheat penny I know silver is not far away, Cool shot gun shell

Here you go, Not the site I was looking for, but this will give you a idea on how these shells are used for display or made for jewelry
