Cool Video at the Nevada Mines

When my daughter and I were at one of the mines I took a movie of her throwing a rock down one. Turn up your speakers loud and you can hear the rock hitting the sides for a long time. That shaft is DEEP.

So did you find anything cool?

Chris

I didn't have much time for searching, we were checking out all the mines. Next time I am there we I have a site picked out for a MD hunt. I did find a cubical for melting samples.

I can't believe they don't have a lid over that hole. I'd hate to be the one that found out how deep it really is.....:yikes:

Yeah the recent fate of the two little girls in Arizona is mute testimony to that. One dead, one rescued and severely injured.

Some of the open shafts can't be seen until to late so common sense is out the window unless you know you are in an area of open, unmarked, and unguarded, shafts and you are on your toes Some are just open holes in the ground. Get a little brush or weeds around them and they are a death trap awaiting, just like an open well -another killer.
