Cople of early coppers and laid the platypus to rest

went up to CT to hunt with a buddy of mine, ended up with 4 of us hunting a few old spots... I started out using the Platypus but not sure what happened, whether it was the rain or hot rocks but it was just freaking out and going off eveywhere... Anyway put on the X8 nad got these two old coppers... My first Fugio cent, and a 1722 or 23 George I half penny... Will have to let the puss dry out and see if its ok....
 
Great finds Jim!!..How do you find these spots???..I keep hitting the same old parks with some success, but man..those are OLD....Congrats..
 
..it get scratched on both sides? Great find nun the less.
 
Its die cracks. or a planchett fault.... they made these from copper recycled from barrel straps from what I understand..

looks at 6W.. mine might be even a later stike with the same dies
